2. Oh, I'm okay.......
My Mom is Power of Attorney for this family friend (she's in a nursing home).....her memory has been failing for a while, only in her 70's. My Mom sees her often.

Stewart the little cutie has Patella luxation, a common condition for smaller breed dogs.......but the parents have insurance, otherwise they would be out 1800 bucks.

3. I work in a hospital where the majority of the patients
have alzheimer's or some related dementia

very very sad

I think if we spent what we spent in Iraq in probably 6 months we'd find at least some hellacious treatments for it if not a cure, or a preventative measure, like a vaccine

The dog, wow, $1800 without insurance

sorry about the dog, but wow...

4. My Mom works as a health care aide............
that's how she and we got to know the lady.......she doesn't have any close relatives near her so we sort of adopted her. Have her over for Xmas, and my Mom regularly visits her and takes her shopping, etc.

Mom does a lot for her but there was another assessment done and she needs more care in the nursing home than she does now. (more one on one care)
