I'm listening to music on my birthday present!
It's a Squeeze Box. http://www.slimdevices.com/pi_squeezebox.html

I'm out in the living room on my laptop, listening to the music on my desktop. Wireless networks are freaking awesome!

Thanks to my wonderful sweetie for arranging for me to have such a kick ass gift! She's the bestest! :loveya:

:headbang:

1. Nothing but the best for Dave!
And hey, if *I* can't afford to get you anything why not arrange for one of my male minions to buy it for you instead.

2. Eh, details...
I'm still giving you the credit. It was your idea. Buying it is the easy part! :D

Your idea of power cycling the modem worked!

Oh, cable modems need batteries? Mine is telling me it needs one (but the indicator light is dim).

4. This is the first that's needed one.

I don't know what kind of batteries. The only door that I can open doesn't seem to have batteries in it.

I'll nose around on their site to see what I can find. Their tech support isn't that horrible (on the internet side anyway), so I guess I can call, too.

Edit - I wonder if having the phone combined into the modem has anything to do with needed the battery. Weird. It's always plugged in so why would it need a battery except as a backup?
