I have applied heat. I have used two icy hot patches. I have tried yoga stretches. However, I'm still in pain and my back is as tight as a rock golem's fist.

Would someone please find the evil Back Gnome that did this to me and squash him?

Have you tried this?

Get a kitchen chair.

Lay on the floor on your back, and put your lower legs on the seat of the chair.

Do that for about 20 minutes.

Repeat as necessary.

I have had problems with my back for years, and when it starts flaring up again, I do the chair thing and it does seem to help.

5. Opiates... the closest I have are Doan's back pills.

Which aren't really opiates, but I heard they knock you off your ass.
