6. Physically, or psychologically?
Both are present in this movie.

11. Definitely both.
And I like disfigured (rather than malformed) because it seems more indicative of the temporary nature of beauty or something that had to survive or live through a thing.

We are all such gossamer, fragile glass moving through a stone and ripping world; and I have been drinking.

23. You're in for a real treat
Saul Tigh is the most psychologically flawed character in the "Battle Star Galactica" series.

A Cylon (cyborg) who, paradoxically, is the most humanly flawed character in the series.

8. Weird. Cameron Crowe's LSD trip.

Some good, some bad. All weird.

Kurt Russell's always cool, though. So was Jason Lee.

He's only 11 years older than Cameron Diaz.

12 years older than Penelope.

But that's not really the source of the ick factor, is it....

Just fact checking.

29. My son was consistantly
told to, "Take of the mask" so that one scene really got to me. The character had choices to make and DID NOT have to be a bitter person. I know thre facially different people (1 being my son) who have been called worse names, treated far more unfairly and unkindly than the character the Cruise plays in the film. Not one of them are the prick the character is in the film.

The topic hits too close to home so I can't give an unbias opinion.

35. I think that's the point of the film. *SPOILER*
He was a prick, and it takes his lucid nightmare, so to speak, to make him realize this and so he decides to re-enter life with this newfound perspective at the end.

37. It is sad then
there are people that incredibly stupid. While my son was disfigured from birth, my two other friends had normal/symmetrical faces until NF2 left them looking like Cruise in the film. Incredibly sad that even those around him, the public that is in the film are just as much a prick as he is.

41. I loved Cameron Diaz's role
But I'm no fan of Tom Cruise and I had no idea WTF Penelope Cruz was saying the whole time.

It's one of those movies that tries to impress you with some brilliant "twist" ending that's supposed to blow your mind......and you just go....."Huh......that's it?"

Brilliant use of The Monkees' lost classic "Porpoise Song", though.
