For the first time in years, I bought a box of them yesterday.

It was the ham and cheese variety.

My resistance melted when I saw on the package "NEW! Now stuffed with REAL cheese!"

My question is, what the heck was all that cheese-like stuff they used to be stuffed with?

And are they currently being stuffed with REAL ham? Or is it just something that is ham-like?

Is it people?

2. I only like the pepperoni pizza ones.

Used to like the barbecue ones, but the quality dropped substantially on those.

5. It's a damn shame

... when folks get excited that their food product now has REAL food in it.

Now stuffed with REAL cheese!

My favorite is still the slogan on the Hershey's syrup bottle: "Genuine Chocolate FLAVOR" :scared:

it's illegal to claim that something is chocolate unless it contains cocoa butter, cocoa liquor (this is the liquid part of chocolate as well as the liquid-oils and dissolved sugars, if any.) and cocoa solids in specific ratios. That is, unless it's bar-chocolate or baker's chocolate or contains chocolate in significant qualities. (I work for a company that got sued last year because it was calling something chocolate that didn't meet food-labeling standards of being chocolate.)

All cocoa syrup contains the first two but not the last one. (It'd be solid at room temperature and viscous like used motor oil when warmed.)

Most chocolate chips contain all three, those used in mass-produced baked-goods contain only the first and the last...hence the proliferation of the term chocolatey-chip.

Yeah, I've noted lots of commercials hyping up "REAL". As if we're supposed to get excited over it.
