Poll question: Will Moxy Früvous ever reunite (or come back from their "hiatus")?
Haven't thought about these guys in a while. I have a ton of live recordings of them I still have to listen to. Do you think they'll ever perform together again as Moxy Früvous?

1. I don't know but I loved 'The King of Spain'
and I wish they would do some more stuff

back when my PBS station was an interesting source of music instead of news (still interesting just in a different way) they played this group quite often. If not for KERA I would probably never have heard Bare Naked Ladies. Trish Hinajosa, Moxy Fruvous, Trout Fishing in America,Red Hot Chile Peppers, Robert Earl Keene, and a ton of other groups and artists from around the world whose names I do not recall.

Their morning and afternoon shows were great, and you never knew what they would play next...Robert Earl Keene, followed by Bach, followed by Duke Ellington, followed by Red Hot Chile Peppers, followed by some kind of fascinating AfroPop or Latin American stuff.

They still do music on Sunday evenings, same eclectic mix.

2. Ah...LOVE Trout Fishing In America.
I live just outside of Philadelphia, their home away from home. I discovered them when a fellow choir member in high school brought in a tape of them performing "The Window" on Kids Corner on WXPN. Looking back on it, I can't believe I've been a fan of theirs for at least 16 years.

3. they do free concerts around here every once in a while. They were frequent
studio guests on the noon talk show on KERA and they were so much fun.

So were Brave Combo which is how I discovered them. They are an amazing band.

Check them out if you are not familiar with them.
