Bob Seger - Still the Same
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjDpKeiYxOU

You always won, everytime you placed a bet
Youre still damn good, no ones gotten to you yet
Everytime they were sure they had you caught
You were quicker than they thought
Youd just turn your back and walk
You always said, the cards would never do you wrong
The trick you said was never piay the game too long
A gamblers share, the only risk that you would take
The only loss you could forsake
The only bluff you couldnt fake

And youre still the same
I caught up with you yesterday
Moving game to game
No one standing in your way
Turning on the charm
Long enough to get you by
Youre still the same
You still aim high

There you stood, everybody watched you play
I just turned and walked away
I had nothing left to say

cause youre still the same
Youre still the same
Moving game to game
Some thlngs never change
Youre still the same

5. My huge pet peeve
You know how radio stations edit songs to make them fit? We need a constitutional amendment to make them stop. To make "Night Moves" fit better, the following verse gets cut:

I awoke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off I sat and wondered
Started humming a song from 1962
Aint it funny how the night moves
When you just dont seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With autumn closing in

Mrs OBD (a huge Seger fan) and I agree: this kind of thing warrants the death penalty

6. Rick Vito's slide solos make Like a Rock my fave Seger
I can overlook the fact that it is kinda formulaic (Night Moves II, if you will), and that it was used in a truck commercial...

The two slide guitar solos make this one a classic!
