I posted this in GD: Freak the fuck out, but it seems more appropriate for the Lizards in these parts.

The guy who stands up. Yup. That's me. I'll be signing autographs at the 7-11 where I get my Coke Zero in 20 minutes.

3. How cool is that? A star is born!!!
I've been excitedly awaiting this film's release. My parents were over to Michael's for the screening... must have been two years ago, or so... and raved about how much they enjoyed it. My dad, although never a fan of hers, said that the Roseanne Barr clips were hilarious.

I can't wait to see it... and YOU in it! :bounce: :applause: :bounce:

5. He invited them over me?
I'm the star of his freakin' movie. Plus, I'm super humble and modest.

And...

I play trombone:

6. Trombone?
Band Geek Alert!!!

:P

Really, you're quite adorable! What's the name of your band? What kind of music do y'all play?

I was in SoCal in July and caught Nutty (nuttyjazz.com) playing the Hip Kitty in Claremont. Your photo reminds me of them a bit...

7. Here's a few bands I was in:
3 years ago, I joined these guys: http://www.myspace.com/thehilites

We were supposed to be the next 'big' thing in Ska world. Which, we kind of were. Had a record deal and the whole banana. But my leadsinger/song writer went batshit crazy so 7 out of 9 of us left just as we were supposed to go on Warped Tour. Interestingly enough, he hates us for leaving but has no problem keeping our songs on his myspace page.

Those of us who left started this band: http://www.myspace.com/theamalgamated (in retrospect, could I have possibly chosen a harder band name to remember? Eat your heart out, Chumbawumba). The band is still going strong, though I had to bow out in order to make my fortune as an evil defense contractor in Washington DC. I believe the boys just opened for The English Beat and have been getting local air play with the demo they made a few weeks back. I still fly in every now and again and join them on stage. We're set to put out an album sometime in the next year.

And finally, I've always been kind of a revolving player in this band: http://www.myspace.com/unsteadymusic. John Roy is the guy who runs this project. He's one of the best Sax players in the world. He's typically a studio guy - going on tour with bands who need a Saxophonist on stage (like the Psychedelic Furs) or in the studio. Unsteady is one of those bands I saw when I was a teenager and decided that there was life beyond marching band.

So there you have it.

8. Ah, you've had more than one brush with stardom.
More trombone... less evil defense contracting!
