Need support, after six months

at this job... will be looking for work again come next week.

I'm not really sure what direction to go in. I do know that the types of employers I have been working for haven't been cutting it for me. I do know that I am definitely tired of the contractor/laid off/contractor treadmill.

Before this job, I was seriously contemplating striking out on my own, trying to build my own business. That's the only thing that engages my passion right now. I don't even know if it's possible, or that I'm just pipedreaming about it.

You know, all I ever wanted was just a job where I could go, earn enough to pay the bills, set some aside for a rainy day, and just live my quiet little life. But that seems to be awfully difficult.
