4. Yep, pretty jarring. And I had forgotten how bad the flu feels.

I haven't had the flu in years. It's awful--the body aches, the fever, the fatigue, the chills, the sore throat. Technically, I have viral pharyngitis, but my doc said that it's basically the flu PLUS a sore throat. Great. I get a bonus prize. Can't believe how tired I am. Going to the doc yesterday, which is less than a 5 minute drive in easy traffic, completely wiped me out!!

I'll be sure to get the flu shot next year. 'Night, Peg! :hi:

3. No. I put it off. So, I asked the doc yesterday if he'd give me one.

He sort of snickered, and said "You;ll have immunity in a few days. And I don't give the shot to someone while they have a viral infection." This'll teach me.

5. At least you've lived and learned...

...I used to get it every year, and was almost hospitalized about 24 years ago - and should have been - with flu. I've gotten a flu shot every year since then, and have never gotten the flu.

6. Well, I wouldn't say I've lived quite yet. It's still in process.

What an awful illness. The night before last, I couldn't get to sleep because I was so chilled that I couldn't stop trembling. And the bodyaches! Don't get me started!

You were hospitalized, huh? Wow. But I can honestly imagine it getting that bad. It's easy to forget what a bad illness it is between bouts.

So, yes, I'll be getting the shot next year! Thanks! :hug:
