why i don't bother even trying to date

not until i get away from Conservative Christian, right wing Republican, straight, white, American males... Soul savin’, flag wavin’, Rush lovin’, land pavin’ personal friends to the Quayles

i need to find me a liberal, philosophy readin, peace lovin, tree huggin, intellectual and democratic male... i mean really, is that too much to ask?

all the lyrics -

Conservative Christian, right wing Republican, straight, white, American male.
Gay bashin’, black fearin’, poor fightin’, tree killin’, regional leaders of the South
Frat housin’, keg tappin’, shirt tuckin’, back slappin’ haters of hippies like me.
Tree huggin’, peace lovin’, pot smokin’, porn watchin’ lazyass hippies like me.
Tree huggin’, love makin’, pro choicen, gay weddin’, widespread diggin’ hippies like me.
Skin color-blinded, conspiracy-minded, protestors of corporate greed,
We who have nothing and most likely will ‘till we all wind up locked up in jails
By conservative Christian, right wing Republican, straight, white, American males,.

Diamonds and dogs, boys and girls, living together in two separate worlds
Following leaders of mountains of shame, looking for someone to blame.

Diamonds and dogs, boys and girls, living together in two separate worlds
Following leaders of mountains of shame, looking for someone to blame.
I know who I like to blame:

Conservative Christian, right wing Republican, straight, white, American males,
Soul savin’, flag wavin’, Rush lovin’, land pavin’ personal friends to the Quayles
Quite diligently workin’ so hard to keep the free reins of this Democracy
From tree huggin’, peace lovin’, pot smokin’, barefootin’ folk-singin’ hippies like me.
Tree huggin’, peace lovin’, pot smokin’, porn watchin’ lazyass hippies like me.

Do people get their TV's "repaired" anymore?

Oklahoma. They were the first tertiary radio station ever to stream their live programming. Right now the owners are using a really sucky media player arrangement but if you click on the link below, it will launch the stream in your default media player, whether in be WinAmp (preferred) or WMP:

although I like our alternative station here, they are sometimes a bit too alt-wanna be corporate for my taste. I like stations that actually will play pretty much anything, from wild squonking jazz to bluegrass to reggae to Cab Calloway to punk and hip-hop.

16. That reminds me of one of the coolest experiences I've ever had.
I took a vacation to NYC earlier this year, and on the Sunday of that week I went to Central Park. There's this guy who plays there whenever he can (weather, other concerts/commitments, and so on), who for a while did a pretty cool podcast. Anyway, the day I spent there (and it was pretty close to an entire day), he played this song, and forgot some of the lyrics in the middle. So twenty or thirty people started singing along, and he put it back together again, picking right up where he left off.

(I think it was this song, anyway. I know he played this song on his podcast a lot, and I know he sang this song that day - I'm only about 75% sure it was the song he forgot the lyrics to, though. :) )

I work with a lot of them. Imagine being locked in an aluminum tube with some of them for 4 days.

I pride myself in getting along (need to have a good working relationship), but whenever politics come up, I just learn to grit my teeth and shut down my ears.

I would not even be able to imagine dating in that situation! I'm married to a conservative, but at least she's rational and can debate intelligently and unemotionally.

You know just the other morning I was hanging around inside my house
I had that new book with pictures of Madonna Naked I was checking it out
Just then a friend of mine Came through the door
Said she never pegged me for a scumbag before
She said she didn't ever wanna see me anymore
And I still don't know why

I think I'm an alright guy
I think I'm an alright guy
I just wanna live unitll I gotta die
I know I aint perfect but God knows I try
I think I'm an alright guy
I think I'm alright

Now maybee I'm dirty and maybee I smoke a little dope
But it aint like I'm going on T.V. and tearing up pictures of the Pope
I know I get wild I know I get drunk
But it aint like I gotta lot of bodies in my trunk
My old man used to call me a no good punk
And I still don't why

You know just the other night these cops pulled me over outside a bar
They turned on their lights and said hey kid get ot of the car
I was only joking when I called em a couple of dicks
but still they made me do the stupid human tricks
And now I'm stuck in this cell with a bunch of dumb hicks
And I still don't why
