23. Would you accept an Oingo Boingo tribute band?
My bass player and I have been discussing putting together an Oingo Boingo tribute band for a while now. Since we're on the East Coast, we figure we'll only have about one gig a year. :)

Of course, if you're on the West Coast, you can hire an Oingo Boingo tribute that actually contains at least 3 actual Oingo Boingo members.

14. It's just a hypothetical question for the fun of it
I tend to agree with you. I'd buy a house, fix up the car, take ginbarn on a kickass vacation, and invest the rest.

Maybe I'd buy that house on the beach. That would be cool. Nothing gargantuan, in case a hurricane were to plow through.

11. Ah, one of those "Monsters of Rock" events!
Went to one of those back in the 80s. Our lineup was Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions, and Van Halen. We used the Dokken segment to grab drinks, catch our breath, and recover from the crush of all those people near the stage.

For my B-day party - an acoustic set followed by a set with his full band. Chose him because I listened to him more than anyone else this year. In March I saw him perform solo acoustic at the Double Door in Chicago; $20 to get in and only a few hundred people there on a cold night. Hell of a show.

36. U2, but I'm not sure the $25 million is enough
Bono probably wants that all to himself. I love Bruce Springsteen, but our backyard isn't that big, and you have to see him in a bigger venue to get the most out of it. ;-)

If I had to make another choice, though, it would have to be these guys. http://www.wickedtinkers.com/ I could pay them half a million, have one hell of a party, and put the rest in the bank!

38. Gogol Bordello
It's not just that they're pretty awesome...I have a feeling that if Gogol Bordello played a birthday party, insanity would occur: rooms would be trashed, people would drink their weight in alcohol, an orgy might break out in one corner, a riot in another corner and fun would be had by all. They're kind of like the ultimate party band.

My proof of that is the video for their song American Wedding: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brdAueAcZNY
