A big fire truck is riding around our mobile home park, sirens blaring, with SANTA!

We heard the sirens and heard the neighbors yelling about something, so we ran outside, thinking that something might be wrong. Turns out that it's Santa Claus on top of a fire truck, yelling "MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

I can now say that I have truly seen everything.

3. This one wasn't giving out candy, unfortunately.

What's really odd is that it's completely dark outside, lol. We didn't even see that it was Santa until he was well past the house--shame about that, 'cause OktoberKid missed out.

2. They do that every Christmas Eve here, both in my town and the town over

When I was a kid, Santa used to come on the fire truck AND hand out toys to all the kids. I lived in a pretty poor area, then.

4. Well this is definitely a poor area.

I wish our Santa had done something like that. OktoberKid's had a rough couple of days; he could have used a bit of cheer. Ah well. Times are hard, even for Santa. It's sweet of them to take him around and let the kiddos see him, though.

I'm an adult, and I still like seeing Santa ride around on the firetruck.

Yeah, when I was a kid, they'd give out little toy cars or Barbie doll type knock offs, and candy canes.
