1. No TV at all.
And it is the best thing about my apartment -- sometimes, I think it's the best thing about my LIFE.

The picture quality and user interface are great. 100+ channels, and I still have a hard time finding something worth watching.

Edit: I meant to reply to the original message. Oops

18. We have Dish as well.
I have found the service great. It is less than half the price of cable in my area with more channels.

12. Dish net
The full package. I got every channel except the monthly pay for nekkid ones.

I don't spend money on going out or eating out, I spend my entertainment dollars on this.

13. broadcast is plenty of trash for me
From my house I get PBS, CBS, NBC, and if the weather is right, WB.

There's more than enough crap on those channels to keep me entertained. I did find cable TV to be great when my child was still an infant. Awake at 4:45 in the morning? No problem, you'll find something on cable to distract you.

Now we tend to stick with PBS morning kid shows, and a few guilty pleasures at night. Unlike when we had cable, we don't feel like we're missing something if we're not in front of the TV. It's a lot easier to unplug when we need to...

16. The most basic of cable
The broadcast channels, CBC, Discovery and CSPAN. We live on the wrong side of a hill to get anything but FOX, so we sucked it up and pay the $12 a month for basic.
