2. That would be heavy.
The handle would probably break off, unless you had a full wire cage.

So, ocelot, why did you have to take three cats at once?

5. The vet gives bulk discounts.
I got 25% off for bringing them all in at once. That was about $75.

4. Two carriers.
Big cat and little cat in the big carrier, other big cat in the little carrier. The funny thing was, at first all the cats were either sort of roaming around the examining room or hiding in the carriers; at one point the tabby was sitting in the sink while little cat was hiding under a chair and the third cat was having his, um, but tutched. While we were waiting for the vet after the tech did the initial but tutching, all three cats decided to huddle in the big carrier. Then they just took turns hiding under the lid of the big carrier, which we had to detatch to get the cats out. It was a circus. And nobody was at all happy.

The library closes soon, though, and I will have to go back home, to face... THEM... :scared:

And will be doing that again before long, except think five instead of three, lol.

8. FIVE?
Yikes I had a disaster of a time getting two of mine to the vet earlier this year..In fact I was going out of town and they were gonna be lodged there..well on kitty proved such an escape artist that I had to leave her behind in my place after an hour of futile attempts to catch her....

9. It might even be more than five.
We're going to try and haggle a bulk price with our local vet; if he's willing to discount, then we're willing to round up ALL of the neighborhood strays that eat at our house and have them spayed/neutered.

I honestly don't mind feeding them, but I really don't want to find any more dead kittens under the shed...you know? And since nobody else around here seems to give a damn, that leaves us.

In the meantime, I'm going to get a #$%^&%$#@$ digital camera that's capable of taking night-time pictures, and catch the bastards in the maroon minivan who've dumped cats TWICE here in the past two months. Grrrrr. :grr:

12. I know! Is that not just a pisser?
One of them we still haven't been able to actually catch to check him out, but I can tell you this much--he's deaf. He's a black and white tuxedo cat, and I *know* he's deaf for two reasons: firstly, he's the only cat that doesn't even look up from the outside food dish when we put Toby on his run and he starts barking. Secondly, I managed to sneak up *right* behind him the other day...I was SO close I could have touched him. He didn't hear me at all, and only ran when he finally looked around and saw me out of the corner of his eye.

It's bad enough to dump a cat, but a DEAF cat?? God, it'll be a miracle if he isn't dead before we can catch him. :(

17. Thank you! We have some pretty irresistable bait.
We mix a can of wet food with a can of pure tuna. Even the most wary cat would find it hard to resist *that*, lol.

18. And came out alive?
OMG, I think I'd rather be poked in the eye with a sharp stick!

I tried that once, with a dog and two cats. Never again!

I have one "problem child" cat that can't tolerate being taken outside. A trip to the vet, the ride in the car, makes him so hysterical he needs to be sedated.

And you survived this? LOL!
