Good morning Lounge - with new pics of my condo
Good morning everyone? Did you have a good start into the new week? I am still getting used to the new surrounding and the new ways I have to take each morning. But I love it :D

Yesterday evening I unpacked some boxes .... the book shelves get filled, the boxes get less .... soon I will be all settled. Here are some pics I took Sunday.

Bedroom

The white closet was in the room already, the beige one I brought with me

Computer/work room - guest room

Living room

This is the place where the new couch is coming once it gets delivered

Yes, they are mainly books. Some photo albums too, but 90% of the boxes are books :hide:

I know I need one. I desperately want one .... I will have to see how I settle this year, then I decide.

Had an okay day yesterday, glad there is one less work day until the weekend ;)

Little MB had her chorus recital last night. The orchestra was terrible, but it was to be expected from kids who had only been playing their instruments for 5 months. Her dad and I sat there with wincing smiles

The books make it my home. Books make a room alive.

I agree about books - I really can't get settled in a place until my books are unpacked. Unfortunately, I've actually run out of bookshelf space in my place, and I've still got boxes of books from my move in November. I really need to go buy more shelves

Your bedroom color looks a lot like my bedroom color, except mine is a little more orange.

My books have been packed since May, 2006. We didn't get the shelves we were supposed to get, so the books are in boxes in the attic. I miss seeing them out! I put up some temporary shelves for the paperbacks last month. Everything else is still in boxes for a while.

Oh, and hi! I couldn't resist responding here, although I should have said hello first. :hi:

After talking with Holly around midnight last night I'm leaning toward S C warmer winter weather for day trips to the beach. I already have an idea of the area where I want to look for a house. The folks were great to be around several years ago when I wintered in Myrtle Beach. I'll be looking 50 to 75 miles inland to begin with.

Starting over at 60 is going to be a real h00t!
