I just slept 14 hours
One of my cats finally stuck their nose under my nostril to see if I was still breathing.

Had some weird dreams... mud slides (no, not the drink) and things.

I feel like I lost a day.

What's going on Lounge?

1. Wow 14 hours!
Sounds wonderful to me. Nothing new here. Famine, pestilence, the end of civilization as we know it. That sort of thing. :P

11. I think so, thanks
Snotty cold has lasted a week now. I hate doctors, but if I don't feel better soon I'll have to go.

I don't know how deep it was. I got up around 8:30 or 9 am.. even posted a couple of things on DU.. then called into work & went back to bed. Turns out I made the right choice to not go in... like you said, I must have needed the rest!

10. Are you feeling any better?
I think I'm starting to come back to life. I'm still congested and sneezing but I'm not so lethargic. My lower back is killing me though because I've been sitting down so much. Always something.... ~sigh~

14. Yes & no
I have a lot of body aches, a little nausea, and sharp pains in my throat every once in awhile. It's the sore throat that makes me wonder if I should go get anti-biotics. But my cough is subsiding! yay!

Glad you are feeling a little better. Yeah, my body is rebelling against being this sedentary too... especially since I was moving around so much when we were on vacation.

Dream Interpretation Shoe, shoes

If a woman dreams about shoes, this dream is usually connected with her love life. Trying on different pairs of shoes means, that she is looking for a partner or deciding about a partner. In other cases, shoes symbolize errands we run every day. Putting on a comfortable pair of shoes is a good omen saying that you are going to have success. Having very tight shoes on means that you feel uncomfortable in the current situation, or you are going to have some small difficulties ahead. Finding a shoe in the dream indicates that you will meet a stranger. If you are giving a pair of shoes away, it means that you want to get rid of a person, or that person is going to leave you soon. If you buy a pair of shoes, it means that you have a long way to go in order to achieve your goals. Looking at old worn-down shoes is a warning to pay more attention and care to solve an unpleasant matter. Worn-down shoes also could possibly mean your dissatisfaction and unhappiness in the present situation; or they also might imply that to be with your old partner is more comfortable and secure than to look for a new one.

27. Ok
Here's another, and different one, for you:

Shoes

In general, shoes represent your approach to life. It suggests that you are well-grounded or that you are down to earth. It also represents your convictions about your beliefs. If you are changing your shoes, then it refers to your changing roles. You are taking a new approach to life. If your forget your shoes, then it suggests that you are leaving restraints behind you. You are refusing to conform to some idea or attitude.

To see old and worn shoes in your dream, signifies that through diligence and hard work, you will find success. It may also mean that you have come to grips with accepting who you are.

To see new shoes in your dream, suggests that you are overconfident in your success. Alternatively you may be on a life path that is unfamiliar to you.

To find shoes in your dream, suggests that you have regained your foothold on life. You are back on the right path again.

To dream that you are wearing inappropriate shoes for the activity at hand, denotes that your progress and path in life will be laborious and ill-prepared. It may also indicate that you are heading on the wrong direction and need to reevaluate your goals.

To dream that you are not wearing any shoes, signifies that you have low self-esteem and a lack of confidence in yourself. You may be dealing with issues concerning your self-identity. It also indicates poverty, lack of mobility, or misunderstanding. Alternatively, it represents your playful attitudes and relaxed, carefree frame of mind. You have a firm grasp and good understanding on a situation. If you dream that you lose your shoes, then it suggests that you may be searching for your identity and finding/exploring who you are.

To dream that you are, represents your playful attitudes and relaxed, carefree attitude. You have a firm grasp and good understanding on a situation. Alternatively, it mean indicate poverty, lack of mobility, or misunderstanding. You have low self-esteem and lack confidence in yourself. Or you may be dealing with issues concerning your self-identity.

To see baby shoes in your dream, symbolizes purity, innocence, vulnerability, tenderness and the desire for love. If you are planning to have or already have a baby, then it suggests that the baby will or has grounded you. After all, with a baby to tend to, you find yourself rooted at home most of the time and not being able to go out as much.

Dreams are full of symbols, you know? I'm not sure what an ill-fitting shoe represents, but I'm positive it is more than just about a shoe. :hi:

30.  I think dreams are usually just the minds way of processing a lot of
mental debris from our conscious moments. Most dreams that have actual meaning are fairly universal and relate to everyday anxieties that everyone is subject to.....falling dreams, naked dreams, being chased dreams, dead relative dreams, erotic dreams, etc. The fact that we remember very little about dreams unless they are written down immediately tells me that they are truly not that meaningful from a predictive or mental state perspective. The shoes - who knows - I bought my wife a pair of shoes for Christmas and need to return them. She has been bugging me about it. That right there could explain it, imo.

24. Same here!
The last time I remember sleeping that much in one 24-hour period was when I returned from Indonesia one Summer, when I was 14 or 15.

And, yes, the dreams got pretty weird at one point. :scared:
