I got quoted in the SF Chronicle at a protest that took place yesterday.
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2004/03/05/MNGQE5F1JL1.DTL

My statement to the reporter (the one that was printed):
"He is probably the worst president in the history of this country. The number of lies he as perpetrated on the American people is deplorable"

OK, it could have been a better quote, but it was so damn loud we could barely hear each other! The main issue I spoke with him about was the virtual 'free ride' the media was giving him*. I wonder why he didn't use any of those quotes....oh well.

Pretty cool, huh!:7

1. Great work, Lark!
What you said is just fine -- don't second guess yourself. You got the message out and the more that happens the better.

Congratulations!

3. Yeah, I'm pretty pleased - showing it to friends
I was the only protester quoted. I wish they had more in the story.

7. OOOOHHHH Yeah, I went to the 3 during the
war build up.....didn't do much good, but it felt great, and my kids got a lesson in their responsibilities as citizens of this country.

6. Your only mistake was to use the word "probably"
otherwise a great statement. :yourock:

8. I've had a few acquaintances say that Fillmore
was still worse. I doubt it, but I am willing to grant the possibility some merit. Between home-schooling my kids and work and DU I have not had time to actually analyze whether he is worse or not.

9. I hope you are proud of yourself!
'cuz I am. It is probably best not to criticize the media for giving bush a free ride if you want to get aired. However, I understand it was short notice and you did not have time to rehearse. Been there myself :)

10. I am. I have been approached by reporters before
and have never made the papers. I guess I look a bit different than many others at the protests....definately the soccer-mom, tennis-in-the-afternoon look, or so I've been told. They seem to want to know why 'I' am there(always with a virulent sign). I just wonder why many of my friends who also dislike * do not attend the protests.
A few of them are afraid it would effect their husband's careers:puke: :eyes:
