I'm having the most wonderful Valentine's Day!
Edited on Sat Feb-14-09 11:08 PM by JTG of the PRB
First, this morning, I went and saw "The Reader." I've now seen all 5 Best Picture nominees for the first time ever. Of course, one of the things I wound up taking away from that movie is that sometimes love hurts and never stops hurting you, but... Yeah! All five!

Then, I came home and watched some TV and did some writing! Whoo!

And tonight, I've ordered a calzone to eat alone, watched Star Wars Episodes I AND II, done my laundry for the coming week, and cleaned my bathroom! Most wonderful Valentine's Day ever!

Wait... Wonderful? I think I'm spelling that wrong... Hmmm... Yes, here's the actual spelling: "boring."

Most boring Vamulumtine's Day ever!

Bah humbug. :P

2. Well... Yes.
But... But I can't be a curmudgeon! I'm only 25!

Well, I'll be 26 a week from tomorrow... I guess that counts as being almost in my late 20's... That's practically a curmudgeon! Cripes!

3. no, no, that wasn't the right word...
Now I feel bad about using it, even in jest. To mean what you think it does requires an adjective though: "old curmudgeon". It just kinda means grumpy, maybe grumpier, and god knows you have a right to do some complaining on Valentine's Day. So maybe this is a better choice?

4. LOL
No, no, I know what you meant. I know curmudgeon means grumpyish, though I haven't really been grumpy today. Just finding something to do with my excess of time today.

:hi:
