What's the purpose of Fetish threads?

The Lounge, rockin' a place as it is, can't very well be seen as a fetish hook-up spot. Ain't nobody in 2 or 3 threads worth of discussion hit on my personal fave, so I'd be SOL if that had been the intent. ;-)

My "fetish" and "kink" posts, at least, have more to do with the good old fashioned voyeurism of finding out others' deep n' dark secrets than attempting to exploit the information obtained in any way. There's something extraordinary about strangers (not that I could consider any DUer a stranger!) opening up with secrets they just wouldn't share outside this relatively "safe" context. And it's always nice to have a reminder that other people's minds contain rarely-glimpsed dark corners, too. Nobody likes to feel alone in their deviant sexuality. :P
