Stupid cat.
My new (as yet unnamed, hint hint) kitty needed something to chase, so I stopped off at Fry's and got a cheap laser pointer. She instantly went catshit (better'n apeshit, ain't it?) over it, so life was good. I was relaxing in bed and pointing it at the wall next to me when she suddenly leaped over my legs and went head first into the wall to get the red thing. I coulda sworn she actually stuck for a moment before sliding straight down the wall as if she'd been splashed there.

You'd think she'd learn, but I think not- she continues to chase it.

She's a strong jumper, I'm here to tell ya- from a sitting position she can go go straight up the wall a good five feet in her desire to kill the red thing.

I wonder if she'll ever learn? I sure hope not!

Stupid cat.

2. Awww ... She's so cute.
:loveya:

I love torties. They often have that calico 'tude, too. :D

Hmmm ... pondering names. Girl kitty names are harder to come up with than boy kitty names, for some reason ...

Because of her little flecks of orangey-brown fur. She's a cutie.

5. Gonzo.
You remember him, from The Muppet Show?

Got his beak caught in the elevator door and "Stick your nose in here, Fonzie, it's really neat!"
Or when they were tossing the crates in which Kermit, Fonzie and Gonzo were travelling out of the plane, you hear a distinct "WHEEEEE!" from Gonzo.

9. I had an Aunt Juanita.
She was my favorite Aunt- she drove me to school my very first day of the first grade. I still remember- as we were walking across the school playground I looked down and found a penny on the ground. Aunt Juanita told me that meant I was a lucky boy.

She was right. :headbang:

10. she looks like the little feral tortoiseshell that hangs around my house
we call her "Spook" because she kind of blends into the ivy and sometimes you can't see her ghostlike presence.

this has been shortened to "Pook".

15. Only one small problem with that
I was just watching the original Dracula (with Bela Lugosi). I'd forever think of that face while calling her that...
