So I'm at my job in a gift shop at the hotel when who walks in but
a national journalist in Canada (I don't want to get too specific). I think (like I always do when I see someone famous) I should just leave him alone because he is probably too used to being bothered. He leaves and I say to my boss - "oh do you know who that was" and he says "who" then we both realize he is back in the store and so we go quiet. He leaves to store after looking for a second at stuff. As he leaves my boss calls him by his first name and says "hey _ _ _ _ _ (first name) how are you". He says "fine how are you". Turns out my bosses has worked in enough hotels that they know each other. Boy did I feel dumb.

2. Yes it was. After he was gone I thought I could have complimented him
on his great interview with Obama. Then I thought but if he asked me what part I liked about it...I wouldn't be able to tell him..my memory being what it is I just knew it was brilliant at the time.

4. A long time ago,
I worked part-time in the evenings for my parents after I got off of my full time day job. They had a gift shop in a hotel, too. I met Lyle Alzado when he was still healthy and OMG! in great shape, and Gordon Jump. I did leave them alone and didn't acknowledge I knew who they were because I figured the same as you, they probably get bothered by people all the time.

I can tell you, though, I thought someone was going to have to come kick me in the chest to start me breathing again after getting a good long look at Lyle. Whoa! He had on a skin tight black t-shirt and butt hugging black jeans.
