19. Hell, I can do 180 days in my sleep.
Actually, I couldn't. I once tried to give up the Lounge voluntarily under no religious obligations and it lasted less than a month.

5. Yeah, I think I'll also try to start going to church for lent.
I live a 40 minute walk from the parish and its been so much of a hassle that I only went once. Sunday morning is no time for a walk across the city.

6. Hey, the traffic would be light!
Not sucking too much car exhaust on your walk.

11. JVS doesn't go to church?!!
Wow. I'm feelin' some cognitive dissonance. I need to sit down.

I think you should do some penance during Lent. Maybe read some Schleiermacher.

Have a good Lent! See you after Easter! :hi:

I don't know. I think that time might be better spent in meditative slumber.

7. I was going to say it's not Lent yet, but where you are, it probably is...

I can't remember the last time I gave something up for Lent. Probably about 30 years ago when I was still a practicing Catholic!

14. I've often said that's what Reformed Protestants should do.
In this, as in so many things, no one listens.

18. If you complete the implied word with the root "lent", you get "lenticular".
Definitions of lenticular on the Web:

biconvex: convex on both sides; shaped like a lentil
wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

Obviously, you need only give up lentils for lent.
