Today's Oblique Strategy: Lowest Common Denominator
Thus sayeth my Brian Eno Oblique Strategy tool...

So how can we interpret this - should we aim for the lowest common denominator? Or should we focus our energies in watching the lowest common denominator?

Or - and I think this is the most useful reading - we should expect the lowest common denominator and prepare for it.

1. Isn't there a deck of Eno O.S. cards available?...
...If so, where do I get a pack?

Taverner, I personally always expect the LCD. I'm rarely disappointed, but also rarely helped by doing so. I would argue that you should AIM for the LCD the next chance you have. I'm guessing that is not your nature, so the results might be surprising and inspiring for you. That's my two-cents'-worth. I suppose, also, it could have something to do with mathematics, in which case the O.S. is suggesting that you literally reduce something to the point beyond which it is no longer reducible. Might this apply in your case? If you are a chef, for instance, are your stocks, sauces and glaces not as rich as they might be?

2. Interesting...I could see this application in my work
Being a techie and whatnot...perhaps I could reduce any complexity in my environment to the point where it cannot be reduced further...

I know you can order them online from enoweb - but they run about $50

You can download a free app that chuggs out a random card when you hit a button. Much cheaper.
