It;s 52 and pouring rain. Tomorrow a big snow storm. The roads up here
have erupted with frost heaves and pot holes. The dirt roads (I live on one) are mud holes.

I am very very very tired of this winter.

1. We just got 7.5" of snow yesterday, and it's in the teens right now (33 is average)
We got 4" of snow last Friday, too.

I am really really really sick of this winter.

6. It's only about 3/4" of rain
but I'm sure we could send it somehow!

11. Hey, 3/4" could be the difference between water rationing and not water rationing.

14. We have a lawn, but we are slowly phasing our landscape to a xeriscape.

5. Summer is more of a rumor than anything
March is supposedly the snowiest month.

I don't think it will ever warm up again. Global warming my ass! :P

9. Well, I've seen climate change first hand over the last several years
up here. There is now not a snow storm that does not have ice as a component at the beginning or the end. I notice because I won't drive up here in ice and because our public works department is now spending an arm and a leg for salt and sand.

I cannot believe the many many ways that George Bush has touched, and fucked up, our lives!

13. You really don't want to hear, right?
Aw, what the heck.
Today it was in the 70s in coastal Alabama.
February 27.

Three couples, old and good friends, met for lunch on the outdoor deck of a local restaurant.
Gelato Joes.

I had a the Italian Supreme Panini.
And jalapeno chips.
Unsweet tea.
I'm a maverick.
;-)
There was a mild breeze.
I wore Bermuda shorts.
Short sleeved shirt.
And fake, knockoff, hippie Birkenstock sandals.

Afterward we split along gender lines.
The ladies went to the Steinmart sale and the guys went to...where else..?
Lowes for some serious hardware shopping.

I just don't think I could survive in New England for an extended period of time again.
:-)
