I had a professor who liked to try to make people feel stupid. He was an ass. I don't care if he had that Ph.D. behind his name or not.

4. I'm in the middle of this long, arduous mid-term.

I have to write four essays of 7-9pp apiece by next Tuesday. I am only in the middle of my first essay. :( I feel like I can't get anything on paper, and that what I'm writing will be nit-picked to death, so nothing I write will be good.

5. I've found when I felt that way that my writing was better than I thought

Somebody told me one time that we are our own worst critics and that might be what's going on here. Let it roll. I know you can do it. I've seen that intellect of your's at work on here, so I know you've got what it takes.

Though a more serious reply is don't worry about it more than you have to. They will turn out fine, you will be where you want next year, and most of writing isn't the actual writing, it's the worrying about what to write. So you're doing what you need to.
