Could someone remind me to eat dinner tonight
around 10 p.m.? I tend to not eat on weekends (like yesterday save for breakfast) because I don't have a structured day with eating times established.

I have days of leftovers in the fridge so that's not the problem. I forced myself to eat Wednesday's leftovers a few hours ago because I recognized I hadn't eaten in way too long.

2. Structure is important to me too when it comes to diet and exercise.
I don't know if it's the same issue or not.

It sounds like you need to eat, if you are asking people to remind you to do so.

I'm interested in your experiences, because I'm experimenting with weekend fasting.

6. I shouldn't fast on weekends
I already don't eat enough. I just don't have the urge to eat on weekends for some reason and I either forget or decide I shouldn't eat even though it's been over 24 hours since my last meal.

I compensated yesterday by snacking on crackers a bunch. I did that today too.

7. It worries me and it does sound like you don't eat enough.
Why? Do you have an eating disorder or are you just not someone who remembers to eat?

8. Eh, I don't know if it's an eating disorder
but I am enjoying the way I look now.

That being said, I recognize that Mondays are usually brutal for me. I have no desire to eat tonight but I plan on eating so I'll be ready to go tomorrow. I just hope I go through with eating leftover shepherd's pie to give me strength for tomorrow.

I usually make out okay but it's better when I eat better.

10. Shepherd's Pie: I must try that sometime. Keith Richards, my favorite guitarist, says that is his
favorite food.

Sniffa, please keep posting. I'm really in a confused space myself right now, so I feel better reading what others are going through who are also going through a tough period,.

12. The oven is fully preheated and the pie is in
Now that I've crossed that path I think I'll eat. If I don't the building will burn down and I won't have to worry about this anymore.

15. Dear Sniffa
Be well and take care of yourself.

If you ever want to PM me, please do.

One of these days I want to try shepard's pie so I can find out what Keith Richard's is so excited about. It must be good.

3. I only eat when I'm hungry.
I've been reamed out for that lifestyle, but hey - I'm not eating, just to eat. You know?

I'm notorious for eating only once a day - but it works for me.

NOW GO EAT ALREADY!!!! :pals:

4. I used to only eat one big meal a day
plus one meal for lunch on work days mostly. About 2 months ago I decided to try to eat 2 substantial meals a day plus multiple small snacks every 2-3 hours.

Monday through Friday works well but weekends don't work out so well. Bi-Baby is away this weekend so the structure is completely destroyed.

It's weird too - I never eat breakfast (unless coffee counts) on work days but eat throughout the day; on weekends I almost never eat save for breakfast.

5. My weekends are the same way
I usually end up having a late breakfast and skipping lunch, then having dinner real early (like 4:00). I think it's for the same reason too: no structure, and everything gets out of whack.

Oh, and BTW, eat dinner in another hour. :)

9. I tend to forget to eat too.
I seldom forget breakfast, because if I don't have breakfast I'm pretty worthless for the rest of the day - but lunch and dinner are hit-or-miss. My best friend, who worries about my well-being more than I do, considers it a victory if he can get me to eat two decent meals a day. Three is a major accomplishment!

I guess I don't have much good advice on how to remember to eat - other than, find a friend who gently nags you! Which I suppose was the purpose of your post. :)

14. My weekends are usually completely free
which is why I tend to not eat. I apparently need work to make me eat normally.

Maybe I need a part-time job on weekends.

19. I get annoyed by having to eat when I'm not hungry
But even though I am not hungry I react to falling blood sugar with nausea and headache. I have to force something down even when I am slightly sick to my stomach...that's where that canned stuff is quite handy. I have relied on it all weekend so I could devote myself to basketball without hindrance. Fuck dishes.
