Just a snappin her fingers and a shufflin' her feet, singin' doo wah...

Done by Manfred Mann, who covered Bruce's "Blinded by the Light" in a rather unique fashion.

Howzat?

12. Whoa-oh, I knew we was fallin' in love,
Yes I did, and so I told her
All the things I'd been dreamin' of.

Now we're together nearly every single day, singing
(you know this part)
We're so happy, and that's how it's gonna stay, singing.
....

I'm hers!
She's miiiiine!
I'm hers, she's mine, wedding bells are gonna chime.

Woooo-ooah, oh yeah!

The other folks got the rest, but I supplied the bridge. I think that means I deserve the bonus points.

16. ...snappin' her fingers an' shufflin' her feet
singing, "doo-wah diddy, diddy-dum, diddy-doo...."

Have you ever thought how SILLY she must have looked and sounded? And this was in 1964! I remember having long discussions as to why the girl was behaving so strangely. We finally decided it was just words strung together to fit the rhythm of the music. No other explanation made sense.

17. "Can anyone tell me what 'diddy-wa-diddy' means?"
That's not a question I'm asking -- it's a line from another song, but I'm damned if I can remember what. Anybody know?
