I've been tempted to ask a mod to send one, just so I can see what one looks like.

A post I had made in a forum, innocently, turned out to really upset people and it made me feel guilty so I wrote to the Mod to figure out what I had done wrong.

He wrote back to assure me I hadn't done anything wrong, that it was just the nature of this particular forum for discussion to be very contentious.

17. You reminded me that I did get a PM from a mod once

There was a lounge thread that X-posted to a GD:P thread. I PM'd a mod to report somethin offensive, and the mod said they weren't the mod for GD:P , and I'd have to alert. By that time, the thread had been locked. However, I have never gotten one of those moderator messages in the unique "moderator messages" section of "My DU"

2) You'll see 10 icons (2 rows of 5) with titles such as "buddy list", "my posts", "my journal", etc.
3) "Moderator messages" is on the lower row on the far right among these icons

I had a screenshot of someone (EraOfResponsibility) calling me a really nasty string of insults, ("coon", "bitch", "go suck a cock") and I posted it on every one of his threads that I came across.

He was served his granite cookie about a week later, thank mods.

I mentioned a few of the unmentionable sites before I knew they were unmentionable. There was also a period during the '04 primaries when using nicknames for Democratic candidates was against the rules and I think I broke that one a few times.

Never anything too serious or they wouldn't have let me be a mod.
