I just got a "wink" from match.com. Hell, I'd forgotten I even had a profile up
on that site. And this guy is right here in town. And not bad looking, if I do say so myself. Hmmm....

Of course, once he realizes what I do for a living, he'll freak out. His profile doesn't say anything about his religious preferences. So, he's either a crazy fundie who doesn't think women should be ordained, or he's an atheist who thinks all religious people are morons. It's always interesting to see which they are.

1. I'm an agnostic and I would date a religious woman
We'd just have to be clear about one thing. I can be okay with religious people if they can be okay with me. If we have a deal on that one then everything else might be cool as well. I look for dates on a dating site, too, and I've actually had some dates. I'm looking for something long term, though, and I haven't found that special woman yet.

2. What do you do?
and I agree about religious people. I think if everyone would just practice a little bit of tolerance we would all get along alot better. LOL my little sister says, "I guess we were just raised different." LOL I am starting to think she is right!

3. an atheist who thinks all religious people are morons
In the olden days I never cared about anyone's religious beliefs. But I think that if I were to start dating again nowadays, there is no way I could date a religious person. The fact that they believe in such nonsense betrays an intellectual deficiency.

10. Cool! I just got a "wink" there last week too.
His profile interested me and I wrote back to him. We talked on the phone briefly today, and we may meet for coffee next week. I don't know how it will go but it's so rare that there's anyone of interest there that I might as well check him out.

If you continue your correspondence, which I hope you do, let us know how it goes. I'm guessing that he is not a rabid atheist because if he was, he most likely would have indicated it under religious preference--well maybe he wouldn't have used the word "rabid." LOL He might be one of those folks to whom religion isn't important and therefore is flexible about it.

The man I started talking to listed his religious preference as Protestant, which surprised me because most of them around here list Catholic. I'm UCC and I'm hoping he's in one of the tolerant religions like that, and not a crazy fundie (though fortunately there aren't that many around here).
