1) It's raining here, and damp
2) I need comfort food
3) I've been eating way too MUCH comfort food and my jeans are getting tight
4) The chicken will provide leftovers I can give the dachshund for a few days

My dinner menu from my first years out of college

Monday: Ramen noodles with canned mushrooms
Tuesday: Spaghetti with cheap sauce
Wednesday: Canned tuna
Thursday: Ramen noodles with canned mushrooms
Friday: Omelets
Saturday: Hamburger
Sunday: Mooched dinner from my parents

Repeat, sometimes substituting Campbell's soup for the omelet, or substituting rice for the ramen..........
