So I got stuck in my car today
The ol' ride has been parked for about 4 months, and I called a tow truck to come and jump it.

It took a hell of a long time to get it going.

I then drove it to the repair place, and shut it off.

Forgetting that the inside door handle was broken off.

I tried to restart it so I could unroll the window, and it (predictably) wouldn't start.

I had to climb out the passenger side door, which was no mean feat.

My own capacity for stupidity is amazing sometimes. :banghead:

1. One thing I dislike about electric windows.
I would like the ability to use the electric aspect usually but also have a mechanical crank. Glad you were able to get out the passenger side, whew.

7. Electric windows are a trap.
When you want outside air and the driver has the windows locked because the crummy AC is on. I do wish you could roll them down if the car isn't on also.

3. Hopefully ole Yeller has some life left
I mean, it's only at 185K. It's been to the Chiricahuas, Lesser Slave Lake, and all points between, but never east of the Rockies.

That's practically brand new.

4. I thought this story would end in a broken window, sorry about your pride.
Who hasn't acted without thinking first?

8. No, you'd push on the windshield with your foot
and the seat back would break off.

It's just that kind of day.

Best of luck with the repairs. But when it gets close to 300,000 miles, you might start planning ...

:hi:
