Was Erasure the first 100% synth dance band?
Gary Numan was synth pop, but not synth dance

Kraftwerk was synth, but neither pop nor dance

Yas and the like were synth dance, but not 100% synth - there were guitars and basses in much of their work.

Am I missing some band here?

1. Depeche Mode
Vince Clarke (of Erasure) was a founding member of DM. In fact, he wrote all the songs on their first album.

Suicide were formed in the early 70s, and were almost exclusively sythn/keyboard-based as well.
