I was born in Cambridge, grew up in a close suburb to Boston and worked in Boston for almost 30 years. I moved to NH 6 years ago and returned to Boston yesterday as simply a tourist. No work to do, no appointments to keep...just a visit as a out of town tourist. What a glorious day! We visited the New England Aquarium with the rest of the entire world's student population and it was just wonderful. We walked from one end of the city to the other and had a wonderful dinner last night at Stephanie's on Newbury.
Just being there with no agenda but to take it all in was great. We had a 5 year old and 17 years old twins with us and everybody found something to love.
We had Will Pitt as a tour guide.
Next time...at least 2 days...a Red Sox game, the Museum of Science, maybe the Pops. And then there's the North End and the Freedom Walk and a Duck Tour.....
Leaving the City last night along the Charles River with the domes and spires of Harvard and MIT and the skyline of that city in our view was just magical.
Such a good time!
