Poll question: Can people with arthritis, sinus problems or migraines predict the weather?
Edited on Fri May-08-09 12:33 PM by Swede
A coworker just told me he knew it was gonna rain today because of his arthritis. I am open minded, but I will wait for more proof.

1. Its not exactly a precise science
But certainly there is evidence that the amount of moisture in the air does effect arthritis at least. Some people who had broken bones say they can tell as well...

2. Yes, if it's going to rain, I can feel it in my left shoulder and right knee
I can tell when the air pressure is changing, because my sinuses start killing me.

3. I'm more likely to get headaches when there's a change in air pressure
And I don't have any of those 3 conditions though my ears seem to pop and crackle a bit more than most folks. I figure "maybe" or "sometimes"

5. My experience
I have pretty bad arthritis in my knees and occasionally in my wrists during cold weather. I can't predict hot and cold but when its cold I hurt and when its hot I don't.

6. About 7 years ago, Neo Nazi's broke my wrists
For a good year after that, I would sense a strange pain in my left wrist the day before it would rain. It eventually went away.
