Why do shows for kids make Sally Field jokes?
Specifically, the "you like me, you really like me" quote (which she didn't actually say). I just heard it in an episode of "Yo Gabba Gabba", and I've heard it in an episode of "Wonder Pets" as well. Admirable, but still not as funny as the time they did a "Baywatch" joke on "Elmo's World".

2. The guys that program Yo Gabba Gabba are a strange bunch
I don't have kids so I don't know specifically what you're talking about. I know the guys behind the scene because of acquantances... It's a Ska thing - you wouldn't understand.

3. Probably the folks in the writer's room trying to make each other laugh.
Or just being lazy and falling back on generation-old memes without much attention paid to what they're audience knows.

5. And I'm amazed that they prefer Ivy League graduates for those "writing" jobs
It seems that any community college dropout could rifle through filing cabinets of old "jokes"

4. The same reason that they put in Elvis and Honeymooners references...
because cocaine does not lead to creativity

6. Because otherwise Sally Field would be completely intolerable
If we can't laugh at her, we have nothing.
