2. Jim Steinman

I remember hearing HIS version of "Rock n Roll Dreams" in the 70's and thinking that the words were great, the tune was catchy, but this guy couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.

He sure writes some hellaciously amazing (imho) songs for everybody else, though.
