even simple arithmetic is amazing , what is "1" really ? where in the form of an object does an abstract concept of number come ? one could say it is an indication of replication , as in a number of objects with equivalent form , but even differing forms can be lumped together and numbered.

Maybe its about separating the one into the many . The brain dividing up the world based on stimuli. So numbers are a creation of the brain ? The brain is a tool that projects existence into an internal mathematical model manifest through the neural net of the cortex ?
