You know, soap operas can be depressing
I'm talking about TV ones. I think, after 20 some odd years of watching Y&R, I am going to hang up the towel.

Life is too short to be sad about what happens on a stupid TV show.

End of rant.

3. Ovarian cancer scares the $hit out of me...
I don't think I can get through weeks, if not months, of watching a young woman suffer through that. Even if it is just a TV Show. :-(

2. The story lines are so grim, aren't they?
I watch AMC and it's all murders, insanity, baby-snatching, auto accidents, natural disasters, and on and on.

I wish they would do something positive to break up the endless sturm and drang.

and the light and breezy shows on the USA network.:hi:

Entertainment should be an escape from the bad in the world, in my opinion.

8. I watch Y&R, and I agree it's silly. I felt I needed some silliness in my life.

I used to spend way too much time reading about heavy subjects; political, economic, etc.

My reading is more balanced now, with plenty of whodunits thrown in.
