2. I played the clarinet and his music was always challenging
I had to use an especially hard reed when I played his music because the notes were so high. I ended up getting a second mouth piece for my clarinet so I could switch reeds during the concert (I really hated playing with a 4 because it was so rough on my lower lip, I preferred a 3 or 3.5).
