I'm organizing 2 back-to-back DU Parties in 2 cities - you better show up

Damn, this is not easy, but I'm doing the 'FIRST TIME EVER IN DU HISTORY' 2 back-to-back DU gatherings in 2 different states.

Gathering one will start in Philly on April 24th where we will convine at our favorite watering hole for liberal discussions and liberal drinking.

Then we'll wake up early and drive on down to Washington DC where we will meet (at a location to yet be determined) to march as "Team Democratic Underground" (with a banner to boot) in the March for Women on Sunday April 25th.

I hope to see everyone in the area for at least one if not BOTH of these spectacular events!!!

10. Last time I did Philly I used priceline.

I picked Central philly and $55 and I got it. It was a $100 room at the Doubletree. The Doubletree was great.

I would love to, but it's tough for me to get out for that length of time, but I desperately need a couple days for myself for about 10,000 different reasons. It might be worth checking into anyway. :7

If you bypass NYC, it takes 4-5 hours to Philly. If I could talk my fellow DUer buddy Amaya into it (she's about 15 miles west of me) or one of the Boston gals to share a room or something, it might not be too bad.

24. For NYCers looking for cheap travel to Philly

NJTransit to Septa - it's about $30 round trip

Here's the info:

You can leave from Noon at Penn Station in Philly and get to Suburban Station in Philly around 2:38

If you need to go home - we have trains leaving at 8,9 and 10pm at night.

Cost: Roundtrip Philly-Trenton on Septa is $14.00
Roundtrip NYC-Trenton on NJTransit is $15.75
