1. We had just parked and I was walking into the house when my husband mouthed off about something.

I turned around and called him a peckerhead and turned my head back around and ran right into a limb.

2. If a woodpecker had later landed on the limb and stared at you it would have been legendary.

Girlfriend said it; I agreed; somehow my agreeing was worse that her saying it in the first place.

Now I have something of a mess on my hands.

5. While watching a video at home with a friend and his girlfriend

she stated "My ass is asleep." The room itself held its breath for potential replies; my friend got intense but could say nothing; I finally mumbled "That's a lot of sleep".

And repeated "I deserve it" as she (good-naturedly) hit my arm over and over.
