Poll question: What size box of Crayons did you have?
When you were a kid in school, what size box of crayons did you get?

3. The Best!!!
Did you ever have the "D-shaped" crayons? The big fatties with one flat side to keep them from rolling away. (kind of like a carpenter's pencil for kids.)

5. Those were cool..
I was looking for some of those for my son. I just assumed they didn't make them any more. But I just saw them on the Crayola web site.

7. My hubby is right there with you...
He was so poor as a kid that he was VERY lucky to get the 48 pack.

And now he is a professional artist... Weird.

6. We used colored pencils in school
Crayons and felt-tip pens were just for fun, at home.

I don't remember how many, but it was certainly less than I wanted.

Amusingly, this stuff seems to be way cheaper now than it was when I was a kid (70's). You can find a 24-pack here for US$ 0.50. Ah, right, Chinese slave labor. I forgot.

15. I had to save my 25 cent weekly allowance for the 64 pack
It cost me 99 cents. Major purchase. My parents would buy me the 16 pack, but I wanted ALL the colors, especially magenta and midnight blue.

21. Cigar box
I never had a 'new' box of crayons in my life. Boy, I must admit I coveted one of the '64 crayon' jobs with the sharpener on the back when it first came out, but all I had was an old wooden cigar box chuck full of shorty crayons. My son uses the same box today.
