Yeach! And this morning, I heard a plug for Walmart on Morning Edition. co0udn't believe my ears. They said something like; "Wallmart, supporting commities and the people in them." or something like that. How about: "Destroying communities and the independent retailers in them."

61. it's like a fast-food place, but it's all chicken
no beef, etc, that I know of.

They used to only exist in malls, but in recent years I've seen a few actual restaurants, with drive-thru windows and all that.

That was in VA, and right offhand I can't think of any time I saw one in CA. Of course by the time I moved here I had lost interest anyway...

I've never bought such a film before. Back home I lived in the gay ghetto and lived next door to a video store that had a huge gay porn section, and I rented "Real San Francisco Lesbians" -- after I rented a "lesbian" movie that was full of froo-froo straight women acting for men. :puke: So the movie I bought from TIB was one of the "Real SF Lesbians" films. It was the only title I felt confident would not contain froo-froo straight women acting for men.

It must be relatively new. I know a lot of folks in "the biz" from my record store days. My ex used to own ABCDs before CD Warehouse bought them, and a couple of my really good friends worked at Waterloo for years.

Vintage Vinyl is one of the only surviving independent record stores I know of. It is a thriving buinsess that has survived by employing people who know music and maintaining an inventory of hard to find classics of all genres as well as all the new music in every genre (not just pop and pop country).
