Housework: Usually listen to classic rock station
Exercising: Hard rock...usually Metallica
Driving: Springsteen
Chilling out: Jam Bands...The Grateful Dead at the top of the list
Making love: Cool, soulful Motown :)

12. Belly dance music!
Absolutely the best for doing housework. There were two vinyl albums in a box lot I bought at an auction years ago; I put them on the turntable and listened while I cleaned. Gotta say, it does something for the elbow grease!

1. Housework - Billy Bragg or punk or reggae
2. Exercising - I usually exercise outside, or swim, so no music
3. Driving - any loud alternative rock - like Midnight Oil or jazz on my favorite NPR station
4. Chilling Out - cool school jazz a la Miles Davis
5. Making love - if I had to pick one type of music, probably jazz or music from India

Housework: Whatever I'm in the mood for.
Exercising: Closest thing I do to exercise is skateboarding, which always calls for hip-hop.
Driving: I don't drive, but again it'd be whatever I'm in the mood for.
Chilling Out: M83 and the like.
Making love: Air's "Moon Safari"

1. Housework - The Ramones, other punk, loud and defiant
2. Exercising - My iPod Gym mix, has all sorts of music at around 110 beats per minute, everything from 16th Century Dance Tunes to Green Day.
3. Driving - Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Beatles, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Comedy and New Age stuff when stuck in traffic (I have XM in the car.....very handy)
4. Chilling Out - Renaissance Music, Bach, Mozart, Polyphonic Spree, Beatles, Fripp and Eno, Indian Classical Music, Progressive Rock
5. Making love - Depends......usually something repetitive like Techno or Yoga Chants or Ambient, often just heavy breathing and the sound of the baby monitor....
