Do stores in your area sell toilet paper in colors?
I've lived here in AZ for almost 20 years and stores here have never sold TP in colors. It's always white. When I lived in PA toilet paper came in blue, pink, green, etc.

I prefer white TP anyway, but MrMouse and I were talking the other day about things that are different now from when we grew up and paper products in colors where something that came to mind.

:) Just curious.

2. Anus is a fine word. We'd all be in trouble without it.

4. My great aunt and uncle
who we considered to be rich always had colored toilet paper that matched each bathroom. That was in the 70's.

They werent rich I found out later, I just had never seen upper middle class.

9. Scott makes excellent plain white paper towels.
They're even good in the microwave, since nothing sticks to them. Cheaper than the fancy ones, too. There's also a store brand of plain white paper towels in my supermarket. Both come in large packages of jumbo rolls.

11. I agree.
The single rolls are all prints and I don't like them either.
I buy the packs of 6 or 8 rolls. They come in plain white.

26. Me, too.
We only have white TP as far as I know and that's fine with me. So I end up buying the larger paper towel packages so I can have all white. I don't need or want decorative paper towels.

:hi:

Edited on Tue Sep-08-09 02:54 PM by latebloomer
at $14 for a sixpack! Unbelievable.

And, as someone said in the reviews, How do you know if you're finished wiping?

I actually have seen pink toilet paper lately.

17. Our local TP section looks like a wallpaper display.
Colors, patterns, you name it, they've got. it. Seriously, if I came across some Laura Ashley shitwipe, it would not surprise me in the least.

19. It's sounding like your area may be somewhat unique.
For a while, people moving here to the Phoenix area would comment on the lack of colored paper products. But from the comments on this thread white TP may be more the norm now.

22. One sheet only
remember to keep that in mind.:puke:

I propose a limitation be put on how many sqares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.

24. I only see white around here
Bur many years ago, my mother always bought blue.

I bought a box of green facial tissues a few weeks ago--I expected it would be white, so I was surprised when I opened the box.

29. all white here too
I can remember my Grandmother in Tucson having colors/patterns so it was here. Come to think of it my Mom may have had blue in the guest bathroom too. (Phx metro)

Still too many damn choices though. Safeway had the best paper towels but recently changed them around - I think the ones that are still decent now are the ones labeled "thirsty" and can be torn in thirds. But you have to study the pkg to avoid the "cute" decorations. One variety looked like egg yolk when the yellow got wet.
