Almost got beat up by an emotionally disturbed coworker today. :-(
He was insulting another co-worker of mine with Schizoaffective disorder, Parkinson's and a bum knee while people were being loaded into a van to take us home. I told him to knock it off and he lunged at me, I bailed out of the van and some job coaches restrained him. broke my new glasses in the process. :scared:

Is this the first time he's displayed this kind of behavior? That's crazy! I'm always scared that I happen to work with wackaloons who will eventually snap.

I'm sorry your glasses got broken. :(

2. No, not the first time, that why I mentioned that he is emotionally disturbed.
He has severe Bipolar. If he's manic and you tell him to behave he will get violent. Unfortunately I didn;t realize that until it was to late because my Asperger's make me totally miss the cues.

5. Damn. :(
I'm glad you're okay.

Will your job take responsibility for replacing your broken glasses?

Will they do something to prevent that guy from being violent in the future? Is there some reason they can't get rid of him? Someone that violent really shouldn't be in any kind of work program. :(

Please stay safe.

6. The individual will be paying for my glasses.

I have employment through a non-profit that finds job sites for the disabled and mentally ill. But with his behavior I have no clue why he is still allowed to work there.
