Lists
Do you rely on lists?

Do you make lists of your lists?

Do you have personal lists and business lists?

I wouldn't be able to survive if it weren't for my lists.

I have the running grocery list, the TO DO list, the list of my lists and where I keep 'em, so many lists but I have to have them or I wouldn't get anything done.

The older I grow, the more lists I make and the larger the lettering or my writing is on the list.

1. My dear merh!
Lists, oh yeah!

Mostly for the grocery store...

But sometimes if I have a bunch of stores to get to, just so I won't forget...

Sorry you're having so much trouble with your life, sweetie...

4. Oh, I'm not having trouble,
I'm one of those folks who know I am not invincible, who realized that my eyes would weaken (both folks needed glasses, dad wore trifocals), my hair would gray and things would change.

I think of mind like the hard drive on my computer. I have almost a half a century of information stored in there and some of my storage software wasn't so hot over the years, it just takes time for my old hard drive to process it.

Thanks for the good wishes but I am good, better than some and not as bad off as others.

:hi:

2. Lists and GirlAfire: A Love Story
I love lists! I wake up every day and make a to-do list. I'd be so lost with it.

I have, as already mentioned, to-do lists, and I also have lists of my favorite movies, favorite websites, and a list of every book on the bookshelf in my room.

6. I'm the same way
more so now than before.

I recently learned to keep a paper copy/computer copy of my telephone number/contact list.

I dropped my phone into the bay. It took me fishing for it with a net for about 1/2 hour to find it and by the time I did, it was well drenched and full of mud.

So I went through all the trouble of washing it out and letting it dry (in plastic container filled with rice) and taking it back to my provider thinking they could save my numbers and put them in my new phone.

The sims card was blank, they tell me that I didn't save the numbers to it properly.

lists of lists of lists

handwritten, computer generated, lists are what help me remember what is was I don't want to forget.

7. You will find, over time, that your clutter will make it
hard to get to the lists in your brain. You will try and try to defrag and keep things sharp, but it inevitably happens.

You will need to write things down and have a hard copy of your lists.

I make quite a few. Some for daily duties, like a to-do list, but others for hobbies. Like I make a celeb crush list and a few music lists for example. Won't post them unless you request it.

I stopped worrying about thread bumps a long time ago and I thank you for your offer to help this one.

I just post when I feel like it and what I feel like and if there are responses then I chat, if it crashes, that is that.

Life is simple - imho, we often over complicate it when we have too high of expectations of others and their response or reaction to us.

Even if I DID make a list, I'd likely never find it again within 5 minutes of finishing it.

Now... If I could have a personal assistant that made lists.... that would be useful!

You have the PA be sure to add their birthday and what they want to your list of dates to remember and gifts to buy.

You be sure to give your PA your credit card to buy the birthday gift on the list of gifts you must get.

Good to know you won't require dry cleaning or wig/weave/toupe grooming.

The truth is, it's hard to find good bosses. x(

I agree, though, that all all time list would be good!

I'll add The Simpsons to my TV shows - I don't have to be watching new programs. Also, I never outgrow The Flintstones.

I forgot Avril and some others on my recommended music list, but it doesn't have to be complete.

I could make overrated/underrated music lists. I should like the Noisettes, but don't really. And the new Boys Like Girls CD is a little underrated.

Nice talking to you, and hope you enjoyed the lists! :hi:

I only shop with a list or I'm lost and don't know what the hell to buy. I make a weekly menu and make a list from that.

I keep lists of appointments, birthdays, menstrual cycles, medications, episodes to television shows I've watched, you name it, I've got a list for it. I have two little note pads I keep in rotation.

I'd rather be a list maker. I never run out of anything and I'm keeping my brain in good shape.

36. I just put my lists in a spreadsheet
I doubt that will stop me from creating more lists. I've thought about creating a database/application for them.

I can remember from when I was little my mom making meal plans and then her grocery shopping list for the week from that. My dad actually laminated his "vacation" list - stuff he had learned through the years should always be taken on vacation. No real wonder where I got it. ;)

Right now, in my spreadsheet, I have it broken down into house (each room has it's own list), yard, Bella, work, buy, build, donate, email, family, fun, health and computer.

I'm pathetic. :(

37. Yes, I use lists quite a bit and I'm still in my mid 40s
I know that I may remember something important I have to do now, but not when it needs to be done. I use the calendar reminders on my email, and also make up shopping lists before I go out. It's so much better than getting home and saying, "Oh shit, I forgot something!" and either doing without or schlepping back out to the car to go back and get whatever.
