What's For Dinner?
I could serve some left overs, but I am thinking yankee pot roast. (I have one in the fridge, and can't afford to waste food. EVER)

What are you guys having?

4. Cheese potato soup.
Found the recipe today and I'm going to try it tonight. This is a good time of year for soups.

6. Yup, It's that time of year again!

I'm going to be making lots of it this fall. First up is Black bean and bacon, my fave. Cheese potato sounds delicious. What kind of cheese do you use?

11. The recipe I found just calls for 12 slices of American.
I'll try that tonight, but I'm sure there are much better cheeses to use. I don't like to use any processed foods if I can keep from it.

12. Me either!
I try to eat as 'whole' as possible.

Good Luck with your soup tonight, sounds yummy :9 That's the kind of soup you could really play around with and would be good no matter what kind of cheese you used.

29. I thought I would report back with the results of the Cheese Potato Soup
It was, in a word....awesome. I don't use that word much, but I don't a better one to describe this. Here's the recipe if you want to try it.

http://www.savory-soup-recipes.com/cheese-potato-soup.html

I didn't have white pepper so I used black. I didn't have fresh parsley but it didn't really matter. The next time I make this I'll use more celery and carrots. The celery has a slight crunch because you don't saute it with the onions like most soups. This is perfect because you need that to balance out the creamy texture.

I usually make my own sauce but today is not a "make your own sauce" kind of day. Lucky Market had the Classico Sauce on sale, 2 for $5, which isn't a bad price at all.
