its on, and if I can remember to watch it. Looks interesting enough to me, I liked the old version as well.

5. I watched the original. Don't know if this remake could top the shock of that "tongue moment"
You see? The first time? We didn't know they were actually...

Oh no spoilers...there might actually be 5 living people that don't know.

He played a "good" alien or something?

that wasn't around the last time it aired!

Under 30ish if you add the people who would have been pre-school kids who would probably have no memory of the the show.

29. Doesn't need to. Those were the days when real risks were taken...
These days, all one need do is scribble on a piece of paper, slap on copyrighted trademarks, and peddle it to a mentally indolent populace with crowd-pleasing moments. They'll yum it up and, if not, there are plenty of dead franchises to dig up and make a self-parodying mockery of...

8. You mean the Morena Baccarin from "Firefly" and Serenity?

I'm definitely watching! I loved her in "Firefly" and besides, she is gorgeous.

I enjoyed the original V and also as a Halloween note, Robert Englund was in the original V: The Final Battle and he was Freddy Krueger in "A Nightmare on Elm Street".

30. She either thinks there's something special in the remake, likes its nonsubtle political commentary,
OR

just needs the money.

I'll let others share their opinions first. I can't think of a remake of a dug-up dead series I've yet to truly love or like. (it's possible; if Star Trek TNG could remake TOS's "The Deadly Years" into "Unnatural Selection" and actually improve on it, then anything's possible!)

40. There have been some very good actors who have taken roles
just because they need the money. I think that most of us have probably worked job we didn't like just because we needed the money.

I guess Roots wasn't important or anything either. Seeing as it was only on for 8 nights.

then, the sequel mini series did okay, then the actual tv series was so-so, I think.

32. No. I watched the
original V series way back when, and I can still picture the dark-haired V woman, who was some kind of commander, holding a live mouse over her mouth by its tail, and then gulping it down.

No more V for me.

Yes, it was that scene, or one very much like it. I remembered her gulping down a cute little mouse, though. What was it she ate in the You Tube scene? A hamster? A kitty?

Ick.

38. I would like to see Childhood's End brought to the screen
* The BBC produced a two-hour radio dramatization of the novel, which was originally broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in November 1997.

* A screenplay of the novel has for years been sold and traded in the movie business, but has not been produced yet. Director Kimberly Peirce and actress Hilary Swank have been attached to the project.

* The story's opening scene, in which the spaceships appear over Earth’s major cities appeared in the openings of both the American television mini-series V and the movie Independence Day, and was parodied in Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
